The 30 Shekel Flowers That Changed My Whole Home

Shavuot had just passed, and like every year, I already missed the feeling it brings into the home.

The flowers everywhere. The soft colours. The table set a little more beautifully than usual. Everything feels calmer, warmer, more thoughtful during the chag.

And then suddenly, it is over.

A few days later, on a completely ordinary Monday morning, I was walking through the shuk and saw flowers. I almost kept walking, but instead I stopped and bought a small bunch for 30 shekel.

Nothing extravagant. Just simple flowers to bring home.

But the moment I placed them in a vase, something shifted.

The kitchen felt softer. The dining table looked more inviting. The whole house felt calmer somehow.

And it made me realise something.

Why do we wait for Shabbat, guests, or holidays to make our homes feel beautiful?

Why not on a random Monday too?

That feeling is really at the heart of Goza Designs for me. Not perfection, and not creating a home that looks styled all the time. Just small details that make everyday life feel warmer, softer, and more cared for.

Here are three simple ways I try to keep that feeling going during the week.

1. Bring Home Flowers for No Reason

Flowers should not only belong on a Shabbat table.

Even a few simple stems on the kitchen counter or dining table can completely change the atmosphere of a room. They make everyday moments feel special, even if nothing special is happening.

And honestly, the imperfect bunches often feel the prettiest.

2. Add One Soft Thing to a Room

I always notice how much warmth comes from texture.

A cushion on the sofa, folded linen napkins on the table, or a soft tablecloth instantly makes a space feel more inviting. These are small details, but they change how a home feels to live in every day.

3. Keep One Corner Beautiful

Life gets busy during the week, and the house does not need to look perfect.

But I love having one small corner that feels calm and intentional. A vase of flowers, a candle, a favourite pillow, or a neatly styled table.

Just one little space that makes you pause for a second and enjoy being home.

Beauty Should Not Be Saved for Special Occasions

Shavuot may be over, but I realised the feeling does not have to disappear with it.

A beautiful home is rarely about grand gestures. Most of the time, it is the smallest things that change the atmosphere completely.

A bunch of flowers from the shuk.

A soft cushion.

A table left beautifully dressed during the week.

Those little details are what make a house feel warm, welcoming, and lived in with love.
